Ian Ogden was born at Oxford Road Maternity Ward, Liverpool at approx 7pm on Monday 2nd November 1987. He lived on Hunts Cross Avenue in Woolton Liverpool for 19 years, having experienced many happy times and many sad times. He attended Woolton CP School, Gateacre Community Comprehensive School and Gateacre Sixth Form, before moving to Knowsley Community College in 2007 to study towards an Art Foundation.

After achieving a Distinction, he moved to Manchester to study towards a BA Hons Degree in Contemporary Film and Video at Manchester School of Art. Throughout his time at University he produced some successful films, including “Portrait of ‘88″, “Vintage” and “I Wear His Shirt”, which was nominated for five awards at Exposures Film Festival in 2009.

More recently his work has been based around character development and improvisation techniques similar to those used by Mike Leigh. His film “General Observations on Quadrupeds” is his first film created from improvisation.
