The Chosen Six – by Cara Hurst

I wanted to write about a play that I am doing the lights for. It is called ‘The Chosen Six’ and is a new play by Cara Hurst. It is directed by Melissa Ward. The film is about a group of six people who are forced to go on a team building weekend in Wales; a yoga retreat. They are lead on it by the insightful and slightly wacky Freya.

The story is told from the point of view of a character entitled the GURU. On this weekend the characters reflect on their lives and go on a journey of self discovery.

The play is on at the Salford Arts Theatre on the 22nd-25th July. Doors open at 7pm and the performace starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at £5/£4 concession.

See www.salfordartstheatre.co.uk for more information.

Hope to see you there!!
